The Cliffs at Keowee consist of three gated mountain-lake residential golf communities located on the shores of 18,500-acre Lake Keowee, one of the Southeasts most pristine lakes whose waters are fed by hundreds of Appalachian clear-spring streams. It is surrounded by more than one million acres of protected natural areas and over 300 miles of shoreline on Lake Keowee. The three communities span over 5000 acres total. Keowee Vineyards. Introduced in 1997, The Cliffs at Keowee Vineyards is surrounded by two of the most pristine lakes in the Carolinas, Lake Keowee and Lake Jocassee. The Vineyards is located on the north end of the lake and has over 2400 acres in this master planned community. The Tom Fazio Golf Course has been recently ranked the seventh best new private course in the US by Golf Digest. Over half of the holes border the lake and contain spectacular views. The community offers every imaginable amenity including a tennis center, world class dining, swimming and a full service marina. The new 10,000-square-foot lakeside Wellness Center includes a golf conditioning room, a SwimEx post rehab water treadmill, and flat-screen machines equipped with CardioTheater. Introduced in 2003, the Equestrian Center includes a magnificent barn with full boarding and training facilities, multi-purpose riding arenas, and access to over 200 miles of trails through the 40,000-acre Jocassee Gorges. You could ride for weeks on these trails through Jocassee Gorges and never cover the same terrain twice.
Keowee Falls Keowee Falls South will feature outstanding recreational and wellness amenities, including The Cliffs second Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course opening in 2007. The walking trails and private parks, picnic areas and marina facilities allow you to practically live outdoors. This project covers over 2500 acres and will be a health and wellness focused community with a wellness center, spa and health facilities.
